The journalist Jorge Mora will dedicate on sundays a part of his popular program to narrate the deeds of the Spanish explorers and their hispanic influence in Florida and in the rest of United States.
The first program was centered around the recent publication of the historian Salvador Larrua's first volume book titled, "Historia de la Florida Hispana. 1513-1616" which was sponsored by the Spain-Florida 500 years Foundation. The complete volume set will cover 300 years of Spanish presence in Florida.
In a very light manner and whitin each session that lasts 5 to 7 minutes, Jorge Mora will start to discover each fascinating aspect of the curious history of Florida.
Certain segments will focus on specific famous explorers such as Cabeza de Vaca, in which Jorge Mora will dedicate an hour of his program to narrate the epic expedition of Panfilo de Narvaez which was the setting for the death of Cabeza de Vaca, Andres Dorantes, Alfonso Castillo and the slave Estebanico. The expedition of Panfilo de Narvaez ran from Florida to Mexico and was one of the most adventurous and most spectacular expeditions of the Spanish explorers.
This historical narration by Jorge Mora will also be available online in the Radio Caracol's website as well in DVD format.
