The Board of Directors of the Spain-Florida Foundation 500 years, the uppermost members of the organization will meet on the 18 of June in their head office in Coral Gables which will be the second session of 2010. During this reunion the topics of discussion will be internal as well as financial affairs and will be essential for the organization of upcoming educational and cultural activities that are being prepared for the second semester of the year; in particular the Hispanic month.
Furthermore, the Foundation will celebrate a luncheon at the Riviera Club in honor of the Council General from Spain, D. Santiago Cabanas, which will return to Spain this summer. Santiago Cabanas has developed a predominant role in the creation of the Foundation. During the years he has worked as Council General for the Spanish embassy in Miami, he has worked in a tireless manner in order to promote the Spanish influence in the United States and the importance of the Spanish cultural legacy.

This section of direction is renewed annually and is put together by those who make a minimum contribution of $10,000 or made any other significant contribution to the purposes of the Foundation. They are honorary members of the board in addition to D. Santiago Cabanas, D. Mario Buisan (Chief counselor of the Spanish commercial office in Miami), D. Gonzalo Gonzalez de Lara (Aggregate of Education) and D. Alvaro Armada.
